Anteros aerosus
Uncommon up to 1050 m. Attracted to bait.
Similar species: Superficially recalls Sarota species but many details differ; no Sarota has a conspicuous white patch in FW. Compare also with A. principalis.
Anteros acheus
Fairly common up to 1100 m. Attracted to bait. I'm not sure which subspecies occur(s) in Cusco.
Similar species: Most similar to A. kupris, but V margins differ: kupris has more continuous red markings, and the silver within them and much more limited.
Anteros kupris
Common 1100-2200 m. Attracted to bait; occasionally puddles. I'm not sure which subspecies occur(s) in Cusco.
Similar species: See A. acheus, which is mostly found at lower elevations.
Anteros principalis
Rare(?) at 1000 m., probably lower but perhaps not in true lowlands. Usually found puddling; also attracted to bait.
Similar species: Among many other differences, yellow margin V checked with red, unlike A. aerosus.
