Calycopis demonassa
Uncommon up to 1050 m., up to 1500 m. in drier valleys; probably common in lowlands. Attracted to bait; occasionally puddles.
Similar species: C. buphonia is superficially similar but has a black head and thorax, among other differences.
Calycopis calus
Fairly common up to 1050 m. Attracted to bait.
Similar species: C. wolfi (much less common) is very similar but has a darker and more sharply defined 'saddle' VFW.
Calycopis wolfi
Rare(?) up to 600 m. Usually found inside forest; attracted to bait.
Similar species: See C. calus.
Calycopis bellera
Rare(?) up to 600 m. Attracted to bait.
Similar species: Male's VHW markings virtually lack orange, unlike any similar species; male C. xeneta is as dark overall on V (or darker?), but does have dark orange in subtornal area VHW. Female similar to male xeneta but paler overall on V, with redder subtornal markings..
Calycopis centoripa
Uncommon up to 550 m., probably higher. Attracted to bait.
Similar species: Female is similar to C. cicero (higher elevations; I have no Cusco records) but the cell-end bar VHW is virtually connected to the post-discal line; in cicero the cell-end bar is completely disconnected from the post-discal line.
