Uncommon(?) at 2700-2950 m., probably somewhat higher and lower. Puddles.
Similar species: Both subspecies of doraete are paler overall on V than J. dorinda whitelyi, especially in submarginal area. See ssp. enippus.
Junea doraete enippus
Uncommon and local at 2800 m., probably higher and lower. Attracted to bait and mud.
Similar species: Ssp. gideon has dark submarginal ocelli throughout VFW; these are lacking in spaces 3 and 4 in enippus.
