Uncommon up to 1000 m. Perhaps found mostly in secondary forest, especially with bamboo. Attracted to bait.
Similar species: Taygetis sylvia is remarkably similar but has the submedian line VHW relatively straight, not jagged.
Harjesia obscura
Fairly common up to 1050 m. Attracted to bait.
Similar species: Recalls several other satyrs, for example Taygetina oreba, but none has a similar jagged post-median line VHW.
