Eueides heliconioides heliconioides
Fairly common 700-1400 m. Puddles; attracted to bait. Found in forest and at edges. Extremely variable, but distinctive.
Similar species: Any similar Heliconius species have longer antennae.
Eueides aliphera aliphera
Common up to 1400 m. Puddles; attracted to bait. Found in a variety of habitats.
Similar species: Black areas D much narrower than E. libitina malleti, and V much plainer. Compare also with Dryas iulia, which is larger and lacks black line along anal margin DFW among other differences.
Eueides libitina malleti
Uncommon at 1050(lower?) m. Attracted to bait.
Similar species: D and V much more heavily marked than E. aliphera aliphera; see also E. vibilia.
Eueides vibilia
Rare(?) up to 1050 m. Puddles; attracted to bait. Found in forest and at edges. I'm not sure which subspecies occur(s) in Cusco.
Similar species: On male, inner black line DFW continues to margin, unlike E. libitina malleti; also has much more yellow VFW including a large patch in cell.
Eueides isabella dissoluta
Uncommon up to 1150 m. Attracted to bait and flowers. Found in forest and at edges.
Similar species: Variable, but always(?) shows some yellow markings, unlike E. lampeto. Any similar Heliconius species have longer antennae.
Eueides lampeto acacetes
Uncommon 1050-1150 m., probably lower. Attracted to bait. Found in forest. Intermediates towards subspecies concisa may occur.
Similar species: Black margin HW (marked with white on V) distinguish it from subspecies concisa. See E. isabella dissoluta. Any similar Heliconius species have longer antennae.
Eueides lampeto concisa
Rare at 1050 m., probably lower. Attracted to bait. Found in forest. Intermediates towards subspecies acacetes may occur.
Similar species: Subspecies acacetes has a black HW margin. See E. isabella dissoluta. Any similar Heliconius species have longer antennae.
